Painting Project- Birds Galore!

Today's Assignment-
Monday 4/25
1)  Go to computer lab 109 & find a bird reference photo. Copy and Paste into Microsoft word. Resize image to 4 inches x 6 inches or 6 inches by 4 inches- depending on if the bird is in portrait or landscape orientation.  Print one photo in color and one in black and white.  To change the color double click on image and change the color to black and white.

2)  Cut out black and white picture, glue into sketchbook
Sketch out your idea in your sketchbook.  Make notes about the design plan:
WHAT BIRD ARE YOU GOING TO USE?
WHAT KINDS OF WATERCOLOR ARE YOU GOING TO USE? WATERCOLOR CRAYONS<PAINT< MARKER?
WHAT WILL THE BACKGROUND LOOK LIKE?
HOW WILL YOU START? WHAT WILL YOU PAINT FIRST?
HOW WILL YOU SHADE?
WILL YOU ADD SHARPIE OR BLACK INK?


3)  Get sketch approved by Mrs. Hurd and begin transferring to painting paper.

4)  Use watercolors, watercolor crayons, crayola markers & water, to add color to painting.  Finish by adding in detail with fine tip sharpie or black ink pen.
