Micography Update

I just finished my contour line drawing for the micrography project example. (See left.) The others are pictures from last years students' finished projects.  I know this year will do just as well!!

Drawing students are learning about Peter Max and his Psychedelic Style. He is a famous commercial artist known for his bright colors, celestial patterns, and floral motifs. More pictures to come...

Intro. to Art students are studying the art of Micrography this week. Students viewed and discussed ppt & were instructed to take notes on attached handout. Students will create an art work using words to shade and add visual contrast. Gustav Klimt

Painting Students are studying Gustav Klimt this week.  A famous Austrian painter. Klimt is known for his robust, bright, stylized, mosaic-like paintings.  Students will also be studying the proportions of the figure.  Armed with this knowledge, students will be creating acrylic shrink plastic paintings.  More pictures to follow...
